Just curious. How many dues-paying members (and thus eligible voters) do we have? I was apparently the 26th member to vote. This concerns me. Have we grown complacent about the Association and how it Is run? I pose the question as a parallel to the elections being run in the country. I am in no way comparing our group to the country as far as the importance of elective participation. However I will point out a similarity. I serve as an election worker here in Clark County, NV. In our primary in June, I kept records for two precincts, with a total registration of about 1, 200 voters. We had 30 VOTERS show up for Election Day. Even after adding in mail ballot and early voters less than 70 out of the 1200 bothered to participate. Is voter participation that valueless in all aspects of our life. I apologize for this basically unrelated rant, but the parallels do bother me.
